Heal and transform yourself and your life through exploring simple, key writing exercises I continue to offer my clients as powerful centering tools on Wed eve, Feb 8 in Rochester, NY.  I will be offering this popular class for the first time through Brighton Continuing Education at Brighton High School, 1150 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14618 in room 158 from 7-8:30 pm.

You will experience in a small, nurturing group the power of journaling to pen up tremendous opportunities for clarity, insight, problem-solving and spiritual development.  In this dynamic workshop you will learn to easily access your own intuitive power to guide you and unleash your creative potential to make higher, more empowered choices to manifest your dreams and release blockages.  All materials included, or bring your favorite journal!

Tap Into Universal Life Force Energy for Centering, De-Stressing  and Healing

Use the power of your hands and higher intent for de-stressing and self-healing through learning the basics of Reiki, a hands-on energy healing practice, and therapeutic touch.  If you’re in the greater Rochester, New York area and around on Wednesday evening, February 1 from 7:00-8:30 pm,  I’ll be offering this popular class through Brighton Recreation at Brighton High School, Room 158, 1150 Winton Road South, Rochester, New York 14618.

All great spiritual traditions going back even before recorded history describe universal life force energy as an endless, infinite flow, the matrix in which we all exist.  We can learn to channel this energy through our hands and meditative intent for centering, healing, empowerment and development.

Free Wellness Retreat for Women with Cancer to Celebrate National Survivors Day June 5, 2011

Cancer is such a complex, extended, life-threatening disease.  My not-for-profit organization established in 2008, Centering for Wellness, Inc., www.centeringforwellness.org, in its holistic vision to offer self-healing and empowerment classes to at-risk populations as an extension of my work in Centering Tools, is offering as a celebration of National Survivors Day on June 5 a free all-day nurturing empowerment retreat for women with cancer, in collaboration with The Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.

This healing day from 9:45 am-3:00 pm at Carmen Clark Lodge at the Brighton Town Park, 777 Westfall Road, Rochester, NY 14620, includes lunch, mini-massages, facials and Reiki sessions.  Workshops include meditation, journaling, aromatherapy, Reiki and self-healing through grief, as well as identifying and exploring your own unique and emerging spirituality for self-healing and empowerment.

Saturday May 14, 8:30 am-6:30 pm small class intensive for certification in the Usui  school:  Reiki III (prerequisite Reiki I and II certification in the Usui School of Reiki) in Rochester, NY, location TBA.  Complete requirements to become certified as a Reiki Master.  In this small, nurturing class you will learn the last three Reiki signsand receive Reiki III attunement, as well as how to attune and teach others Levels I, II and III Reiki in the Usui School, and much more.  $400 fee includes all handouts and Level III Reiki textbook in the Usui school, and Reiki III certificate. June 5 10 am-3 pm Relax, Rejuvenate, Replenish: A Wellness Retreat Day for Women Living With Cancer.  This all-day nurturing series of workshop presentations by Marjorie Baker Price, Janice Putrino and Nanci DeLeo is presented by Centering for Wellness, Inc., a not-for-profit organization founded in 2008 by Marjorie Baker Price, President and Executive Director, whose mission is to offer holistic healing and empowerment programs to at-risk populations and health care providers.  This is in collaboration with the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester, and will offer meditation, relaxation, visualization, journaling, Reiki and aromatherapy classes in celebration of National Survivors Day June 5.  Retreat day held at Carmen Clark Lodge at the Brighton Town Park, 777 Westfall Road, Rodchester, NY 14620.

Stay tuned for our new podcast!

We’re pleased to announce to you all that we’re working on a podcast for the Centering ® Tools website.  We’re in the planning stages now, so your comments and suggestions are welcome.

Our first podcast will contain, among other topics, Marjorie’s commentary on the multi-faceted industry of alternative medicine.  Also, this introductory podcast will give us an opportunity to explain – in laymen’s terms – the benefits of hypnosis while commenting on some misunderstandings regarding how hypnosis is a therapy and the kind of audience that could benefit and should benefit from an ethical, trained hypnotherapist.

I’ll be posting more information as it becomes available.  Right now we’re aiming to have the first podcast done within the next day or so, so stay tuned!

Website work today

The website may look odd or may even be down intermittently for the next few hours today (Thurs 5-7-09) The maintenance period will not last more than a few hours and updates will be provided here as more information is available.  The maintenance period is necessary to ensure that all of our viewers can properly view the website.  This is always tricky only because programming standards are not completely articulated yet and because users are viewing the website under significantly different software and hardware environments.

Centering Tools website: preview the new version

In an effort to optimize your experience with our website, we will be offering viewers a chance to interact with a new version of this website.  The new version is designed with you in mind: it will feature a higher contrast setting (between the text and the website background), larger fonts, and an updated organizational scheme.

If you are interested in previewing this new development, then you may start whenever you want.  Two things:
