How Much Power Do You Really Have?

The Only Way We Can Truly Heal and Become

This central question is really the key to self-healing, creating, awareness, the freedom to choose well, and relationship.  It is the central reported struggle, whether it is described in this way or not, with pretty much all of my clients.

I see it as a recovery struggle to regain wholeness and become fully integrated, both within and without.  I see us all understandably challenged, as we live in a world that says a lot to us about how much power we do and don’t have – and  judges it all – that in and of itself sets the stage for multiple, complicated and escalating power struggles.

Loss of Power Profoundly Damages

Power struggles are immensely damaging.  They create horrific stress and dysfunction; destroy self-esteem; fuel hopelessness and victimization; and set the stage for all kinds of violation and acting-out behaviors.

Fundamentally the power of our breath, translated as spirit from the original Hebrew, Latin and Greek roots, is our source of power.  Our breath – and ourselves – need to be free-flowing to sustain us and our lives.

The World’s and Our Beliefs Can Destroy Power

Whatever truly limits our source of power, which always involves physical, emotional, mental and spiritual expression and balance, stops us from becoming whole and who we were really meant to be.  Our world tries to “sell us a bill of goods” by attempting to legitimize in all kinds of ways sources that actually limit personal power. 

In addition, our own faulty belief systems, created from unhealed traumas rooted in our early past, profoundly limits our personal power.

A Journaling Exercise to Recover Personal Power

I invite you to settle back, take several deep, cleansing breaths, and consider whatever you think and feel in this moment limits your power.  Start making this list, taking as much time as you need to complete it.

When you’ve finished, make another list, with each item you now describe as being the exact opposite of your first list.  For example, if you wrote on your first list, “I don’t have the money to pay all my bills”, on the second list write, “I have the money to pay all my bills”.

We Have the Power to Transform

When you’ve finished, title each list My Beliefs.  Then read through everything you’ve written and record any insights which occur.

Now how do you feel?  Here’s the real kicker:  Feelings are the inner key to personal power.

Power is Infinite, and Everywhere

They don’t lie, and we can only create in physical reality, as can the spiritual universe partnering up with us, what is true.  Power through all ancient spiritual traditions was understood to be the source of life, infinite, and everywhere.

The phrase universal life force energy continues to be described around the world as chi, ki, prana, great spirit, and in the current resurrection in pop culture of the smash hits of the seventies and eighties, the force.  Power is the generative as well as the creative center of our being, and our source of balance and transformation.

How to Restore and Expand Your Infinite Power

In other words, we can’t live well – achieve wellbeing – without it.  When we heal, develop and compassionately create, our power exponentially increases.

How To Let Someone In To Your Heart

Where We Love Is Where Our Heart Opens

The biggest challenge clients bring to me is the challenge to trust and feel emotionally safe.  In this upcoming celebration Feb 14 of “Heart’s Day”, who has not had the experience, now or in the past, of whether or not to open your heart to let someone – even if you haven’t even met them yet -  into your heart?

Valentine’s Day is not only a celebration of romance, but a central celebration of love.  This weekend I also bought cards for my three grandchildren, my daughters, my son-in-law, and my father to share in that spirit.  (Speaking of successful marketing, I couldn’t resist buying a card “from my cat” to my youngest daughter, a love relationship with him that means the world to her – and me!)

A Brief Meditative And Journaling Exercise to Trust And Feel Safe “From The Bottom of Your Heart”: 

Close your eyes and settle back into a comfortable, relaxed position.  Take several deep, even breaths. 

As you continue to breathe in, say to yourself the phrase “I receive love”. As you breathe out, say to yourself the phrase “I release love”.

Now imagine you are your own best observer.  What do you seem to observe as you “tune in” to your heart?

Does your heart feel open or closed?  Continue breathing deeply and easily, imagining somehow your breath now opens your heart to its greatest extent.

Then repeat the two phrases, “I receive love” and “I release love” as you inhale and exhale respectively.  How do you feel?

When you feel complete with this inner journey, open your eyes and take a few minutes to record what happened, particularly noting your feelings throughout.  The key to having a healthy relationship is to open your heart and trust, ongoing.

Trust the Power of Your Own Open Heart

Love is unconditional.  It exists in a foundation of conscious acceptance and understanding, in a place of letting be and letting go.

Most importantly, this Valentine’s Day look to open your heart unconditionally and with conscious love to more greatly understand and accept yourself.  These are the keys to trust from your core.

Beyond that, listen to your heart regarding how to explore, initiate and maintain loving and healthy relationships with others.  May all your loving journeys reveal and sustain the infinite force of your own true spirit for wellbeing and fulfillment.

Ten Key Ways to Write Your Way to a Better Life

You Can Transform Your Life Through Writing

I tell my clients that the single most creative activity we can engage in for transformation is writing.  Journaling as your own own determined way to express yourself has been said, through several decades of research, to be a primary way to heal yourself and develop, as you choose, how to sustain an exquisite plan for self-determined success.

It really doesn’t matter what you write, how long you write, or when you write nearly as much as it matters that you write and continue to write.  Here are the ten of the simplest writing recommendations that I offer my clients:

Ten Simple Writing Exercises to Try for Self-Healing and Empowerment

1.   Carry a little notebook with you and write down for two or more minutes a day whatever you’re moved to write.

2.   Spend a few minutes a day or more writing down how you feel.

3.   Write a “wish list” – and leave it at that.

4.   Spend a few moments imagining you are completely free, and write about your experience, using the phrase, “I will”.

5.   Go somewhere you love in nature and sit for a few minutes, describing everything you see around you.

6.   Write a poem of two lines or more within a few minutes, read through it and write how you feel.

7.   Draw any picture, spend a few moments viewing it and then title it.

8.   Write down any word that is meaningful to you as the title of the following “list”; and then create the list by, for a minute or two writing down whatever words or phrases come to mind, one word or phrase to a line until you’ve run out of ideas – and then take the phrase I am or I have, and put down whatever seems to fit before every item on your list beginning with your “list title” – and last but definitely not least, read it all over and record any insights which occur.

9.   Imagine you have the power to release whatever exists inside you, and make a list of everything you choose to release.

10.  List all that you love and have loved in your life.

When we choose, we are challenged to fully and unconditionally commit.  Consider trying all these ten experiments for thirty days, and see how you and your life transform!

Uplift Yourself into Happiness in 2012

We Always Have the Power to Create What We Want

The most self-healing and transcendent inner tool we have is our imagination.  Our power to envision attaches us to our higher power, and offers us direct experience to create with unique and infinite potential.

So much has been written about this new year, 2012 – the end of an age lasting many thousands of years, according to the Mayan calendar.  Whatever the upcoming year means to us and our planet, we are at this moment poised to more greatly and differently utilize the new incoming light energy to support our greater good.

Our Freed Conscious Mind is the Key to Creating

The truth of the matter is our conscious mind can always, and does always, choose.  It doesn’t look to separate ourselves, ever, from all that we are, all that we ever experience, or all that we desire.  It doesn’t understand any sense of victimization because that doesn’t exist in its universe – in fact, all that ever truly victimizes us as adults are our delusional belief systems. 

It accepts without condition any and all feelings and thoughts.  What “trips it up” and puts terrible and tragic limits on it are old, entrenched, conditioned faulty belief systems.

We Create from Within

Our conscious mind does not need to directly change whatever is happening outside of us – our environments, our experiences, our relationships.  Instead it carries full power to change as desired our relationships to ourselves and all our “parts”.

Can you courageously end this year by reflecting, as deeply and honestly as you can, on the following questions – and just as courageously journal about whatever comes up inside you as response?

What Do I Really Believe About . . .

*who I am?

*what I am?

*my relationships?

*my past?

*my potential ?

*my experiences?

*my present life?

*my future?

What You Believe has to Align with what You Truly Want to Create to Be Able to Experience It

However you answered these questions identifies the spectrum of your core beliefs.  Now read through all you’ve written and underline whatever you objectively see limits your potential to create what you truly want in this new year.

(If you don’t know what you truly want, settle back in a comfortable, supported position, allow your breath to quite easily and naturally deepen, and close your eyes.  Now dare to allow your infinite imagination and all its light power to paint whatever picture your heart wants you to become, receive, let go of, and experience in your life without limitation.

When you feel complete in fully experiencing this vision, return to full waking consciousness and open your eyes.  Record all that occurred.  (Now you know what you really want.)

How to Set Your Greater Self Free to Miraculously Create What You Really Want . . . or Better!

In holistic and spiritual terms, when we bring up into conscious awareness our core beliefs and are willing to allow our free will, as the expressed unleashed power of the inner observer, to examine them, we merge with our infinite power to change our beliefs to support what we want.

When we honestly decide to change what we truly believe multidimensionally, our thoughts, feelings and how we relate to ourselves and our world change – and so does our life.  We have been given this infinite gift which always exists, no matter what is going on within and without in our life, to create, to transcend, to choose differently.

It truly sets new worlds in motion, and has throughout existence.  I reflect this gift back to you to work with, explore, and activate as you wish and are moved to do in this new year, in supporting your own and all our greater good.

How to Take Stock to Find Joy

As this year is days away from its end, are you inclined to take stock of your journey through it?  To consider how satisfied and light your heart is, how at rest you feel?

Such simple considerations, and how challenging they seem to be in our world with its complications, tangles, and burdens!  ‘Tis is the season, we hear, of joy, and how in hell do we get it?

Ten Surefire Ways to Experience Joy in 2012

Here are ten focal points to meditate on, journal about, and most importantly, act on to experience joy in your life in 2012: (and note – if this year is truly about global transformation through a great shift in personal consciousness, joy is at the center of the new direction)

1.   Find your own essence rhythms through your own truly meditative experience, and once there, let go, let be

2.   Forgive yourself and someone who you haven’t been able, in your heart of hearts, to forgive

3.   Identify a cause greater than you and your ongoing concerns that makes your heart sing, and commit to work, ongoing, to support it

4.   Laugh from your belly for at least five uninterrupted minutes every day – “break your little self up”

5.   Once a week spend at least an uninterrupted hour alone in nature at a spot that is greatly inspiring for you

6.   Dance any dance that takes you both outside of yourself and into your body and soul as often as you can

7.   Remember what you loved to do as a child, and do it now – if you can’t literally duplicate it, find a way to create whatever activity produces the joy you felt

8.   Ask yourself if you were completely free for a day, what would you do . . . and DO IT WITHIN THE NEXT MONTH

9.   Make a list of at least 8 qualities you and others say you have . . . then double it by listing 8 qualities you wish you had . . . then spend five full minutes believing you have all those qualities . . . and get yourself to accept the fact that you would not be able to imagine them if you didn’t already possess them . . . and imagine yourself feeling pure delight over all of this

10.  Anonymously help someone in need – whatever detective work this requires enhances the joy

*Fractures anxiety

*Supports your inner observer

Can We Recover Our Spiritual Selves as Creators of Light to Experience Peace and Freedom?

On the brink of 2012 and all its hype and mystery, we are in a most unique space in this “end time” and celebration of miracles in the face of seeming great darkness, to look back at this year and look into ourselves, even to our core.  Here we can remember who and what we are as beings and transmitters of light, able to generate and become in a sacred space of peace and freedom.

It is so easy, in the face of fear-based conditioning and the significant and critical woes of the world, to sell ourselves and our real potential to transform and uplift ourselves through our own real insight terribly short.  I invite you to sit with a very simple question that ultimately cuts through a lot of soul-stealing detours to your personal power and core, unleashed conscience:  Do we have the wherewithal to find for ourselves central peace and a free space to be?

Experiential Learning is the Key to Transformation

We do have this power and this capacity, and when we access it, we transform and become a transformative force for good in the world.  Understanding and experiencing peace and freedom comes through how we participate and learn from the stories of our lives.

When we can ask key questions without assumption and blame about who and what we are and how we came to be, we strip away faulty beliefs and all that internally forces us to twist ourselves into predetermined victims, leaving only our spirits free to intuit, highly choose, and release attachment.  Key how-to practices to experience peace, personal and spiritual power, self-healing, development and creative freedom to fulfill and express all that we have and wish to share in the world, and most importantly, give and receive love through being more greatly present involve meditative and journaling.

Here are 4 key questions to ask yourself in a deeper reflective (meditative) state and write your impressions about (journal) at year’s end:

1.  When I look back on this year, how do I feel?

2.  What were five key things that I learned about myself this year?

3.  How was I most greatly able to love?

4.  How was I most greatly challenged to love?

A Miraculous Inner Space of Feeling Whole

Then imagine yourself magically whisked away to the most peaceful, free space you could possibly go to, and experience yourself fully drawn into this amazing space.  Here envision yourself in the new year feeling whole without worrying about how this could happen.

You have given yourself a present in the present, which is a pivotal signal to the universe of your complete willingness to freely create your heart’s desires in a space of full and unleashed potential, where you can let it all go as a magnet to begin to manifest in many amazing ways in your life.  We can only create from the matrix in which we can BE, so to be in a space of inviolate peace and freedom keenly shapes corresponding experience.

Honor Yourself and Your Own Unknown Greatness to Bring Peace and Freedom to a Trapped and Compromised World

That is my holiday end-of-year gift to you – and even more importantly, your gift to yourself.  We are best meant to give gifts that demonstrate we are greater than who we think we are – and so we then experience and even more greatly offer.

Keys to Accessing the Transformative and Healing Power in Seeing Ourselves as Others See Us

The Real Antidote to Shutdown is to Write from Your Heart

It has been awhile since I’ve written.  I miss getting into my most sacred inner space to blog.  Unfortunately the longer I’m away from writing the more blocks seem to surface and more and more, then, prevent me from expressing and sharing the scope of my work and capacity to offer key guidelines for Centering for Self-Healing and Empowerment. 

As I label it in my work with clients, so do I now call this shutdown.  The focus of this article involves my antidote to stay inwardly connected to your own infinite sacred inner space.

Dare to Ask Yourself How You Want and Need Your World to Change

These are such tough and fuzzy times we’re living in!  I think it is more and more apparent that major shifts are occurring that could profoundly change the world we live in, even to the extent of  transforming the core economic and political systems that determine so much of our individual and community lives.

How would you like the world you live in to change?  What do you see necessarily happening in order for these changes to take place?

Like It or Not, We’re Always Connected to the World We Live In

Are you equally willing to change yourself, no matter what it requires of you, in these same thematic ways?  This last “get you where you live” – literally – question brings me to wonder not how I can ultimately perceive myself, but how the world actually sees me.

I call that the “other end of the two-way street”, which has nothing whatsoever to do with how core unhealed personal wounded-ness due to past significant multiple experienced traumas can keep us self-fixated and narcissistic in infantile ways.  Instead I’m talking about always acknowledging how we exist in a “two-way street” of ourselves connected, like it or not, to the world we live in. 

How to Reestablish Our Innate Flow in Order to Heal and Develop

This acknowledgment allows us to actually reestablish innate flow and rediscover our innate wherewithal to heighten and raise our inner awareness, heal and evolve correspondingly; and create and experience a better self and world.  As we profoundly change, so do we change our way of doing, being and responding in the world. 

Always, in this organic process of self-transformation, we are differently seen and “noted accordingly” by the world.  I saw a movie not long ago about a parallel Earth with people who were us correspondingly existing on that other parallel world. 

Can We Know How the World Sees Us?

In the end, the heroine met her counterpart face to face.  They each looked at each other intently, magnetically and fully aware and connected.

How would it be if we could know and see ourselves the way the world sees us?  I have a guided meditation exercise for you to try as my Thanksgiving and post-11-11-11 gift to you.

A Guided Meditation to See Yourself Through the Universe’s Infinite Lens

Consider it as a key step for greater self-healing and empowerment towards self-mastery and transformation. This then can easily become your corresponding offering to take back to the world in which you exist to then be able to support its destined evolution, through more greatly expressing the corresponding compassion and truth which emerges.

Settle back into a comfortable and supported position, close your eyes and easily, naturally allow your opening breath to deepen.  Count to yourself ten, full, deep, even breaths.

Reestablish Balance Through Breathing to Receive and Release

Notice what happens inside you through this exercise.  Then, as your breathing becomes more and more automatic, imagine your breath as an endless light wave flowing all around and through you.

With your next several breaths as you inhale, say the word receive to yourself, and as you exhale, in a similar fashion say the word release.

Know Your Free Breath is the Infinite Universe of Transformation

Imagine your ongoing breath is your infinite spirit that envelops, clears and sustains you through higher and higher levels.  Your imagination naturally and easily extends itself to envision your breath as your infinite spirit which becomes, and always is, the universe of your experience.

Now imagine this universe is the an infinitely clear lens through which you can easily see where you will.  Ask it to show you yourself in all the ways it sees you . . . and experience all that then occurs for and with you.

Record Your Experience to Create Compassion and Clarity in Your World

When you come through your unfolding experience to a place that feels like a place of completion for now, knowing these connections stay – and you remember – allow your endlessly flowing breath to so lightly and freely carry you back and back, until once more, then, you reach this room, this place, and open your eyes.  Take a few moments while sitting with your experience to record and/or draw what happened.

Then read through all you have written, allowing it to bring its own powerful impact to you.  Let this become an intuitive direction and guidance from your own illumined spirit that you can now choose to carry out in your life . . . and see what happens to transform and uplift you!

Change Your Story, Change Your Life

Can You Access the Power to Change and Create Your Soul Story?

What an amazing paradox we humans are!  What literally and in all other ways keeps us alive is our own indestructible soul/spirit, and we are always changing, shifting, becoming.

Native American tradition teaches that our story defines how we heal, develop, and more greatly become; and that we always have the power to change our story.  Through the intense and core work I do with clients I have come to view our power to envision as our power to become centrally connected with our “real story” and understand how it drives us in our lives – and to use that power as we Will to change that story to most directly improve our lives.

As We Heal and Develop, So Do Our Stories Change

The key way I have found to correspondingly transform is through first uncovering the core focus of our central story.  Then we are able to decide how to best change that focus to shift The Story.

It is important in this self-healing process to understand that as we heal and develop our central “stories”, as the thematic and dynamic descriptions we always return to about the course of our lives, correspondingly changes.  Realizing this fundamental truth allows us to easily transcend the constricting and delusional boundary our ego sets in its drive to shape our Story as its justification to perpetually “fight or flight” to insure what it thinks we need to survive.

Envision and Record Your Most Authentic Story

The best and most transformational question you can ask yourself to reshape your story, and be able to become your greater, more authentic self is through the following meditative and journaling exercise:

Settle back into a comfortable, supported, aligned position which relaxes your body and allows your deepening breath to naturally extend and regulate itself.

Review Your Major Crises to Discover Your Real Story

As this occurs allow your focus to casually review, within your flowing imagination, your entire life, asking to be shown five key crises you’ve experienced.

Then open your eyes and describe in one or two sentences as simply as possible each crisis.

Record Your Authentic Intuitive “Read” to Accelerate and Ignite Multidimensional Healing

Review what you have written, and with each description consider and record whatever feels like the most authentic intuitive response that occurs from the following question:

What did I learn from this?

The Real Shift to Higher Awareness and Personal Power

Read each “lesson”, considering what are the emerging themes – or there actually even be just one recurrent theme.  Describe it . . . and then use that as the foundation to then continue to describe what becomes your authentic transformational story to best support your greatest power for healing and development, peace and freedom.

We are challenged and always able to truly discover our greater selves through uncovering this usually well-disguised and stuck center.  Here are my top five tips for you to meditate on and journal about – not once, but as many times as you need to “dive in” to your core until you come to wherever your sense of intuitive resolution is as your fastest, safest road to unearth whatever is keeping you from your greater good:

Five Key Ways to Uncover Core Conflict . . .

1.  Ask yourself what you’re most afraid of and record whatever responses seem to intuitively come up from your heart and your gut without any additional explanation attached.

2.  Reflect in a deeper meditative space on whatever you sense keeps you in one or more separate, seemingly compartmentalized spaces now, and record your experience.

3.  Assess on a scale of 1 to 10 – 1 being least and 10 being most – how abandoned you feel in what seems to be the deepest place inside you; and in the same manner, how intruded upon you feel.

4.  Make as complete a list as you can of all the “good” and “bad” aspects of your life.

5.  Complete the following sentence in as many ways that seem true to you as honestly as possible without additional explanation:  If only . . . then I would/could . . . 

. . . And Five Corresponding Paths to Healing, Development and Resolution

Now it’s time to use this multidimensional crescendo of peaking and revealed core conflict to freely move into its real resulting path of resolution, healing and development through these corresponding five tips:

1.  Settle back and take several deep, cleansing breaths; and then say to yourself as you inhale, LET BE; and as you exhale, LET GO; until you experience and imagine being completely moved beyond whatever your core conflict is.

2.  This is the space of both being and becoming that I call the sacred observer, where your spirit naturally and fully emerges; and your intuition clearly and lovingly speaks to you.

3.  In this observer space, read through all you have written through the exercises above, and record whatever insights then occur.

4.  Consider these insights as the order of steps to access your present path of self-healing, development and true resolution through your courage and willingness to face and, through facing, have the real capacity to more greatly identify and understand your core conflict; allowing that conflict in turn to draw you through it; and then be able to complete its real directive, which is your soul’s chosen lesson for your determined growth and greater completion.

5.  Ask your unleashed loving and infinite spirit to guide you to wherever it knows the real resolution exists, to complete this challenge and erase the core conflict; and affirm to your spirit your unconditional commitment to walk that path to its end.

Your Revealed Plan of Action

Thank and honor yourself for your transformational work that in turn best supports the better world the universe so keenly supports in these greatly changing and pivotal times for all our peace and freedom.  As we can face and support all dimensions and places of ourselves, so are we meant to accept and affirm all our greater good for truly “win-win”as the only real re-solutions.

The Best Thing You Can Do to Protect Your Health and Happiness

Truth Expresses Feelings That Become Healing

The best thing you can do to protect your health and happiness is to tell the truth.  It doesn’t matter if you think you don’t know “the whole truth” – who does?

It doesn’t matter how or what you feel, and yet how and what you feel helps greatly define what the truth really is.  How or what you feel also blows open the door to greater insight and spiritual connectedness – in other words, it is our direct “ticket” to the divine.

Telling the Truth Supports Wellness

Mind-body healing says when we fully face and truthfully express our feelings, and admit to ourselves and others that what we feel to be true keeps us healthy. This profoundly, centrally links to all corresponding healing.

There are a lot of things truth telling isn’t.  It doesn’t guarantee anything, or what you most want to have happen.

It Keeps You in the Power of What’s Real

It doesn’t make anyone else feel or do better, or solve any problems.  It won’t necessarily produce “happy ever after endings” or any resolution in and of itself.

It does name what’s real, so you stay real – and present –as well as reality-based.  That means you stay connected to your only and real source of power.

Become Your Divine Observer to Tell the Truth

It keeps you in the role of detached observer.  This effectively shuts down “fight or flight”, thereby allowing you to access, within your innate balance and flowing rhythm of multidimensional consciousness, your full creative and divine capacity to come to wherever the real resolution exists.

Telling the truth is a most courageous act, especially considering the at times seemingly impossible and complicated challenges involving dismantling faulty belief systems, cultural conditioning, completing unfinished therapeutic business and its residual core trauma from the past; and plain not knowing what all is going to happen.  It is an act of  spiritual faith that restores heroism as our best and highest way of functioning, which then becomes doing – which then becomes being.

Meditation Reveals What’s True

Completing what I call “observer questions” keenly and profoundly guide us to successfully “make the leap” to tell the truth.  So if you feel stuck, stressed, scared, and scattered, dare to ask yourself who, what, where, when, how and why is this happening?

Better yet, ask after you’ve first settled back in a comfortable, supported space, eyes closed, making sure you’ll not be interrupted.  Take several deep, regular, cleansing breaths; and as you feel yourself quite easily and naturally falling into a deeper meditative state, imagine these questions like gentle rain falling deep and deeper still into the very core of your heart.

These are the Steps to Restore Personal Power and Effect Mind-Body Healing

Listen to whatever comes up by way of answers, and then, continuing to feel very open, very much at ease, record them.  Then ask yourself how you feel, once again listening; and then similarly record whatever happens.

You’ve just taken yourself through the steps involved to fully access and express your inner truth.  You’ve just taken yourself through the steps involved to fully access and express your infinite source of power and healing.

Accepting the Unacceptable

The Challenge Now to Transform to Survive

It is easy to accept what makes sense to us and seems to better support us fairly comfortably living our lives.  It is difficult if not impossible to accept what doesn’t make sense to us and makes our life worse or even seems to threaten our survival.

We are greatly challenged in these unstable and critical times to fundamentally and miraculously transform to become our higher, greater selves.  Accepting the unacceptable is a key foundation to open the door to transformational wellness.

Access Your Spiritual Power to Accept

In a recent seminar I presented I asked participants to consider the word Accept, the final stage of grief.  When I reflected, in a deeper meditative state, on each letter in ACCEPT, intuiting one word for each letter, I came up with the following:

A – Affirm

C – Complete

C – Caring

E – Extends

P – Peace

T – Truth

Then I put the words together in the above order, forming the following sentence:  Affirm and complete caring that extends peace and truth.

A 45 Day Experiment in Profound Healing

I asked the participants to consider how this sentence can be a spiritual guide to accept the unacceptable, and be led to where the real resolution is in completing grief.  I invite you to do the same by entering your own reflective, deeper meditative inner space and then say the sentence to yourself, experiencing whatever happens inside you by way of response.

Now consider the many ways you can choose and commit today, and every day going forward, as a 45 day experiment, to affirm and complete caring that extends peace and truth in your life.  Keep a record of what you do and what happens.

When we accept the unacceptable we transcend struggle to become greater and higher in the space of our lives – and heal.  We understand the source of our power and free ourselves from irresolvable conflict.

When we set ourselves free we can become present to create fluidly and powerfully in our lives.  Trust is recovered, and we a-c-c-e-p-t and honor our divine right to become.

Heroic Myths Since Our Beginning Inspire and Help Us Survive

 We have always, as a species, research confirms, seemed to repeatedly tell each other our favorite stories.  In ancient days we sat around tribal camp fires in a great listening circle, spellbound at hearing again and again heroic myths.

They both explained the world and inspired us to not only survive but transform ourselves, our lives, and our communities.  Suppose these myths truly are our core grassroots spiritual initiatives for individual and community healing, empowerment and success - a concept that is becoming increasingly considered as the best sustainable solution to survive and support ourselves and each other in this seemingly fracturing world.

Discover Your Own Best and Core Story as A New Higher Roadmap to Success

 I invite you to try this journaling and visioning exercise to discover your own core and best story and make it your experimental roadmap to best navigate in the world you may at times struggle to function, even survive in.  Universal myths are visions . . . and visions are the composition of transcendant, expanding, developing reality.

We are all geniuses at easily making up our own stories - as Einstein said, The imagination is everything.  Universal myths have the following basic cast of characters:

• Hero/heroine who "comes of age" and is transformed through courageously, against all odds  meeting a supreme life-death challenge as the critical "peak" of a journey which is a true oddyssey
• Fellow companions who surprisingly show up along the way
• A "dragon" who must be vanquished
• A great new emerging love 
• A key sacrifice for the greater good and real resolution
• The death of the previous life and/or self that existed before the journey
• A greater understanding through experiencing the story of divine power/"magic"

A Guided Meditation and Journaling Exercise to Envision and Create a Greater You

Now settle back, allow yourself to be drawn through your deepening, easy breath into a relaxed, meditative and visioning state.  Focus on a key challenge you presently have.

Using the above qualities as a guide, begin to make up a story about how you then experience this challenge. Take all the time that you need to inwardly journey as the hero/heroine through your imaginative story which includes all of these bulleted elements.

Decide What You Can Do Today to Become the Hero/Heroine of Your Life

When the story comes to its end, record the entire vision.  Then read all that you've written, and record whatever insights occur.

Consider your story is your inspiring myth to best guide you to successfully meet this challenge and experience higher resolution, healing and success.  What can you now do in your life to respond and act  in the spirit and real meaning of these ways?
